jj: If it's among the members, then I'm the weakest. I don't really change when I get drunk, but the next thing I know, I'm in a konbini buying snacks and other stuff.

sh mh: i also think i'm the type who recovers fast

hk: although there are times i immediately get over it, there are also times that i feel i'm still not ready to start a new love. i think it depends

jj: ive also had someone i couldnt get over with.... so i guess it depends on who the other person is

If your girlfriend cooks for you and it tastes bad?

A. I'll directly tell her it's bad

B. I'll keep it to myself

jh hk: Directly tell her!

hk: I'll tell her 'this is seriously bad!' but I'll finish everything! I'm someone who honestly tells my girlfriend anything. Of course, I'll consider her feelings and tell her as nice as possible.

jh: Ah! But recently when we were hanging out, the nabe (hot pot) my friend prepared wasn't delicious but I didn't even tell her! lol

hk: She made it herself? Wow, that's nice. I haven't eaten anything cooked by a girl(space)friend.

jj: WELL I HAVEN'T EATEN ANYTHING MADE BY A GIRLFRIEND....

sh: I wouldn't say it's bad but my expression would probably give it away. I might say 'it's delicious' but my face would show 'it's bad'

mh: I'll eat it with her. I'll tell her, 'why don't you try it. is it good?' That's how I'll let her know!

hk: I'm pretty taklative myself so I'd prefer someone who's a good listener. Of course, I'll listen to what she has to say, too.

jj sh: B would be great. I wanna listen to her stories.

jh mh: Probably A. Because I want to have someone who can listen to me

Who whould you notice during a live?

A. Someone in a bikini

B. A fan who is cosplaying me

hk: Ah! Definitely the one in bikini! There were quite a lot of them in bikinis during our last summer tour. Would it be the same for this upcoming tour? :)

jj sh: We also choose bikini! We're men afterall

jh: Rather than a girl in bikini, I would notice a girl in a mini skirt. haha

hk: We can see the faces and clothes of the fans in the venue, actually

mh: I'd be really happy to see someone cosplaying me! but of course... my eyes would go to the one in bikini. lol

jj sh mh: We want our girlfriends to be on our left. (So they take the right side)

sh: I wonder if it's related to which hand is dominant

jj: Because Hongki is the only left-handed one

hk: I've been using both hands recently, though. I usually use my left hand when I need to use more strength like when working out. But when I write or eat, and hold the mic, I use my right hand. AND BTW IM A LEFT-HANDED AND AB TYPE SO I'M AN ULTIMATE GENIUS ((lol ok hongki))

Staff Expose: No. 1 Top Band in History That Loses Things Easily 

FTIsland and CNBLUE came to Taiwan for concerts one after another last year; not only did they create many ‘No. 1′ records for popularity and sales, their record label also unexpectedly calculated a new ‘No. 1′ achievement for ‘top bands’ – No. 1 for losing things.


FT Island’s part
When FT Island came to Taiwan at the end of 2010 for their concert, the staff from Korea had token the wrong luggage. They had taken a luggage filled with ladies clothes instead of Lee Jae Jin’s bass! The music company immediately called the airport to search for Lee Jae Jin’s luggage, and by then only the manager remembered that he had left his wallet on the plane. After some time, they had finally found back all the “lost” things. Losing things is not at all a wonder to them anymore, because they sometimes lose people too! During the celebration party after their concert, they were too excited and some were lost. Until when everyone get up to their car, only they realise that their manager went missing. Members of FT Island love to go to their manager’s room during the night and when it’s time for them to go back to their respective rooms, there will be cases of someone forgetting to bring the hotel card key out from the room. This is the most memorable trip of artist coming to Taiwan because they’re constantly losing things and sometimes, people!


CNBLUE's parts
During FTIsland’s first time in Taiwan last year in February, they did not realise that they had left their luggage at the airport, so they would not even have had any clothes to dress into for the following press conference. Their schedule was delayed by an hour as a result. Junior band CNBLUE are not inferior in any respect; drummer Kang Minhyuk is even named “King of Losing Things”! The manager exposed: “Minhyuk has been losing things ever since he was young, especially MP3 players and iPods. The quantity he has lost can almost be enough to open a shop”! When CNBLUE came to Taiwan, Minhyuk certainly lived up to the reputation of “King of Losing Things”; as soon as they arrived in Taiwan last year in September, he promptly left his wallet in the van. If the Taiwanese staff had not carefully checked the van before getting out, Minhyuk would not have even known that he had lost his wallet. Before the concert rehearsal, Taiwanese staff also ‘unsurprisingly’ found Minhyuk’s iPod again!

Strict Discipline, Manners are Most Important!

Lee HongKi’s Part
With the strict training given by the music company, although their already a super star, but if they have no manners, the manger will still scold them without any hesitation! FT Island’s Lee Hong Ki had recently recorded in a Taiwanese Variety Show and during the recording, HongKi had took the dry ice gun and shoot the host, Jacky Wu. The manager had been unhappy about his actions, and immediately stopped HongKi from playing with the gun. After the recording, their manager had brought HongKi forward to apologize with the host, Jacky Wu. 

Oh Won Bin’s Part 
Former vocalist and guitarist of FT Island Oh Won Bin had left the stage for two years and had been training again in his company. Oh Won Bin had been to Taiwan at the end of 2010 to become a guest for FT Island’s concert and also stayed a few days more to promote his solo album ; Oh Won Bin doesn’t complain although there’s a lot of schedule. When the staff in Taiwan offers some coffee and snacks, the manager had said no, and this cause Oh Won Bin to quietly say :” Since the manager said it’s okay, then we’ll just leave it” although Oh Won Bin wanted it. The music company had high hopes upon Won Bin, and their strict education towards him is to ensure him that he could succeed when he comes back solo.



CNBLUE
CNBLUE came to Taiwan for a concert in September last year. When the concert was over, drummer Kang Minhyuk rushed to the lounge backstage and sat down immediately next to the director without even greeting him/her. The manager saw this and said, “You have no manners!”, making Minhyuk jump up from the sofa and quickly get a drink to apologise to the director. The manager expressed: “Even if an artist has already debuted, manners are still the most important thing. Artists must be requested to comply; it is absolutely not permissible for artists under the company to have the “big-head disease” (T/N: swelling ego, i.e. turning snobbish and looking down on others).

Forming Top Bands is Not Easy. Becoming Famous is Harder!


Top Pretty Band FTIsland + Top Stylish Band CNBLUE, not complaining about hardships of development, secrets of success revealed….

In recent years, there has been a fast-growing trend of top bands in Taiwan and South Korea. Behind their success is the manager sacrificing his own days of youth, sweat and tears to guide and support their growth. They were just middle school and high school students when they were discovered, so the manager accompanied them during their growth, longing for his treasures to have the day of success..

Complete Training and Development

South Korea’s top pretty band FTIsland and top stylish band CNBLUE were still in middle school or high school when they were taken under FNC Music. These two groups both debuted in the form of bands. The manager arranged not only music-related classes, to allow them room to develop and explore music, but also acting classes to train the members’ acting skills, which contributed towards the lead vocalists of both bands, Lee Hong Ki and Jung Yong Hwa, immediately gaining attention for acting in You’re Beautiful; with handsome looks and exquisite acting they became popular all over Asia. Furthermore, their management company also arranges artists to learn a second and third foreign language to expand into foreign markets. Because FTIsland and CNBLUE have previously stayed in Japan, they can all speak in fluent Japanese, having no barriers in communicating with Japanese fans. 

Oh Won Bin’s Part 
A month before his visit to Taiwan, Oh Won Bin had increased his Chinese classes. He recorded the audio of the chinese words and saved it into his MP3, correcting his chinese pronunciation. Alas, when he was a guest for FT Island’s concert in Taiwan, he use chinese to express and communicate with others, and the fans are surprised that his chinese is perfect and his pronounciations is good too!

Manager sighs because FT Island is spoilt
FT Island is the first artist to be in the FnC Music Company. Their manager treated them like his own children and loved them very much. Their manager said while smiling: “When I first knew MinHwan, he was only 13 years old, and he is still a small kid. Now looking at MinHwan becoming more mature, sometimes it just feel unreal. “ That time, all members of FT Island lived together, and their food, clothes, accommodations is all taken care by their manager. Till this day, their manager still remembers that he helped the boys to wash their underwear everyday. He was like their parents, carefully watching them grow, and their manager joke that he had no time to fall in love with another girl and still single now.

Speaking of the way of teaching the boys, the manager couldn’t resist sighing again. He had spoilt the boys. He felt sorry for the boys when they have lots of schedule, and had given in to any requests of the boys. If the members did wrong, he’ll punish them by facing the wall. After 10 minutes, he begin to felt sorry for them, and brought them out for meals instead.

Their manager said this made the boys even more naughty : The shy boy MinHwan loves to prank the staffs, the “lively” Honggi loves to ask the music company in Taiwan to treat him ice-cream whenever the manager is not around ( Later we found out from the manager that Honggi has sensitive stomach, so their manager restricted him to eat cold foods) ; The leader JongHun also helped the members to “monitor” their manager, and when their manager is not around, he’ll slip out without the other members!
